12 Reasons Your College Friends Will Be Your Friends For Life

3. Stress Builds Bonds

Having to deal with the stress of exams and the pressure of keeping up with a constant workload allows bonds to form between people that may not have had common ground otherwise. You don’t know who your friends truly are until you’ve experienced the stresses of finals week together. The bonds that are built during these difficult periods are the ones that last the test of time.

4. You Are Able To Admit That You Care

When we’re younger, telling our friends how much they mean to us can come across as corny and we typically avoid it. In college, these barriers start to be broken down. Sure, alcohol and other forms of experimentation have at least a small role to play in this, but we also become more mature and are more able to admit our true feelings, which leads to lasting friendships.
