7. Learn to balance your time between study and socializing
Getting your degree is important since that’s the reason you are attending college, so making time for studying is vital. However, studying isn’t everything and you need to set aside some “me” time as well to socialize and interact with others. Spending all your time in your dorm is not healthy for many reasons and can make someone depressed or stressed out. Take at least one night a week to go out and find something fun to do and use the rest of the week for studying for your classes.
6. Take your personality into consideration when choosing a major
When you attend college you need to eventually choose a major for your degree program. Don’t just choose whatever your best friend or your dad picked. Consider your own personality, your likes, dislikes, etc. You want to pick something where you will qualify for a job that you like and that will also help you to pay your bills and live on your own. So, it might be a good idea to talk to a school counselor and take some personality tests, etc. so you know what major may be the bestyou’re your for your future.
