6. Join a professional or industry-specific organization
In addition to putting your name out online via LinkedIn, another way to get involved in your chosen field of work is to join a professional organization or industry specific organization. Some colleges have chapters of the biggest of these groups like financing and accounting clubs. If you are a member of this group, they will work with you and help you to find a job. Plus, they can help you to actually understand what happens in the application, hiring and working in your chosen field.
7. Don’t wait until graduation to start job hunting
As stated earlier, it is a huge mistake, but a common one, to wait until you graduate to begin a job hunt. There are multiple people out there looking for jobs all at once around the timeframe of college graduations. If you start preparing early, you can beat this rush and be ahead of the game when it comes to seeking, applying for and hopefully, getting hired for your dream job.
